Dr. Hillier is a proud member of the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation and spent more than 20 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a physician and radiologist, with a wide range of patient expertise. Additionally, Dr. Hiller gained expertise in international logistics in the medical field, working in multiple countries in a wide variety of roles. Her most recent role is as Director and Executive Dean, Alberta Institute Wenzhou Medical University, an international collaborative start-up between the University of Alberta and a leading Chinese medical facility.
She trained at a master’s level in clinical trial methodology, and also at the master’s level in Education. Dr. Hillier has led the development and implementation of a complex computerized medical training system, in a world-renowned university.
